What motivates you to ride? I love being outdoors, and enjoy all the places a bicycle can take me.
What racing obstacle have you overcome? The anxiety I feel before a race (I guess I’m still working on this one actually) and figuring out the nutrition I need to get through a race.
Favorite Part of Racing: The community. Getting into riding and racing has been such a great experience. I’ve met so many wonderful people. People who are excited about rifing and want to share that experience with others.
If you could ride your bike anywhere, where would it be? I’d love to mountain bike in Iceland.
What are you most proud of in your cycling career? I was a member of a small group that helped raise over $1 million dollars (through individual and corporate sponsorship) for Parkinson’s Disease research by riding our bikes across the country.
What is your favorite post ride meal? Pizza
What is your superpower? Finding four leaf clovers.
Skiing brought me to Colorado almost twenty years ago. I’ve become equally passionate about mountain biking in the last few years. I began racing when I turned 40. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made, allowing me to meet and ride with some pretty amazing people. When I’m not riding my bike, I love to curl up with a good book and my “little tiger dog”. I also enjoy camping and traveling to new places. Work as an operating room nurse keeps me pretty busy here in the mountains, especially in the winter.
