Maya Thomas-Wachterman

Club Team

Maya’s best friend found her a bike on craigslist a few years ago and told her it would change her life.  He was right.  A Colorado native, looking for exercise for mind and body, she fell in love.

With a non-profit job that takes a lot out of her, Maya was looking for a sport to replenish her body, mind and spirit and she found it in cycling.  She got tired of just trying to pass all of the people on the cherry creek path, so she set out to find a team and learn about the actual sport of cycling and racing.  She plans on being an awesome teammate and racer, and when she’s asked to sign autographs (which will defiantly be her favorite part) do so with a huge smile, and tell all the kiddos to find something that makes them grin from ear to ear every time they do it.

Personal goal: “this year- to figure out my strengths and use them to support the team, compete, and help other women find out about cycling.”
