First, thank you for signing up for our book delivery to Columbine Elementary School in Denver this Friday, April 29th at 8:00 am for Ride for Reading month. We will be meeting at TriBella Multisport located at 1060 Bannock Street at 8 am to check in to make sure you’ve signed a waiver, load up on books, go over briefly the rules of the road(so we can continue to do deliveries without drivers getting upset during rush hour!), and what to expect at the delivery. Also, please click the map below of the route we plan to take to Columbine Elementary at 2540 E 29th Ave. This is a no-drop ride, so save your legs for race day!
We plan to leave at 9 am from the store and arrive at the school by 9:30 am. All the kids will greet us outside(weather permitting) to take the Ride for Reading pledge, and then we will head inside to lay the books out on tables in the hallway. The riders usually stay about 1 hour if you can to help the children pick out books-we will have enough books for each child to pick out 3-and then we ask the school to continue the cycle. If you can stay to help us load up the TriBella Wagon with the rest of the left over books, we would greatly appreciate that(and your assistance for the next R4R delivery in the fall!)
Remember, please bring a bike trailer or backpack to carry the books in. Also, please be prompt. It takes a few minutes to load the books and woman/man the troops! And again, we would like if all riders would stay together, meaning this is a no drop ride/delivery. :0) Thank you again for being a part of a Ride for Reading book delivery!
